Cultural Affairs Tasks
• The department is concerned with the file of bilateral cultural relations between Yemen and Turkey. The department is headed by a diplomatic envoy appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the head of the diplomatic mission in Ankara.
• One of the most important tasks of the cultural section is to highlight the common cultural and historical denominators between Yemen and Turkey, and to revive ways of cultural cooperation between the two countries at the official and popular levels.
• Given the absence of an independent cultural attaché in the entity of the permanent diplomatic mission in Ankara at the present time, the cultural section of the embassy performs the tasks of the cultural attaché in managing the affairs of Yemeni students on scholarships to Turkey, in addition to organizing educational and academic agreements between the two countries.
• The department also handles the file of international schools that teach the Yemeni curriculum inside Turkey, and follows up on the progress of its educational work in accordance with the official standards and procedures of the concerned Yemeni government agencies.
